Devonport City Council has welcomed the Tasmanian Government’s announcement regarding its funding commitment towards the relocation of the Devonport LINC and Court.

“Council is pleased the State Government has reconfirmed its commitment to LIVING CITY, through the transfer of the two Government-owned sites needed to progress the Retail Precinct” said Devonport Mayor Steve Martin.

“Friday’s funding announcement means that planning for both Stage 1 and 2 of LIVING CITY can remain on schedule”.

“We are currently working together to progress designs for new LINC facilities within the multi-purpose building and look forward to finalising the agreement for the transfer of the two sites”.
