LIVING CITY has been recognised by the Cradle Coast’s nine councils as a project of major significance to the region.

Devonport Mayor Steve Martin said Devonport’s LIVING CITY will promote and benefit the entire region, not just Devonport.

“It’s about creating 1100 ongoing jobs, with that workforce sourced from throughout the region,’’ Mayor Martin said.

“We will be showcasing produce from throughout the Cradle Coast within the fine food market, acting as a taster of what each municipality has to offer,” said Mayor Martin. “When tourists arrive off the Spirit of Tasmania we  are looking to provide a teaser that entices tourist to further explore our region, including fresh produce, tourist attractions and activities.’’

LIVING CITY will have a flow-on effect to service providers, tourism operators, growers, freight companies and others throughout the region,” said Mayor Martin.

“We are excited to work with the Cradle Coast Authority and the nine Councils to ensure LIVING CITY benefits all.”
